Thread count defined

How should thread count effect the choice of sheets?

When so much of your day is spent asleep, you should have the best sheets.

Thread count is often advertised as the be all and end all when choosing bed sheets, but this is not necessarily the case.

It's how the weave is put together which has a big impact on the feel and durability of your sheets. A weave is made up of warp and weft which are the two threads which run up and across the fabric. Typically a fabric will be one of;

Basic weave sheets, tend to also be low thread count and quite cheap

Sateen sheets are extra soft and have a a great choice for durability as they have more warp threads than weft threads

Percale sheets have the same amount of weft and warp threads and have a more crisp feel.

Bamboo is stronger than steal by weight. Bamboo 300 thread count is equivalent to feel and yet stronger than 1000 thread count cotton fabrics.

All this considered, Koala Bamboo sheets are a natural choice for wear and comfort.
